Alfa Giulia and Ford Escort Mk 2
Restored Exhibition | Limited edition of 20 prints
A set of classic car restoration images which featured in Classic Cars and Classic Ford magazines. All cars were shot as found, where they had been lovingly restored, stored for security or awaited restoration, some untouched for decades.
The Alfa sat as an unfinished project for decades after the owner removed the entire bottom six inches of the car which had rotted. Having stood in a garage for 20 years with a large pile of spare parts for company, it was due to be upgraded to a road-rally car by SD Developments in Todmorden.
The Escort started life as a 1.3 Popular, but with a bright future as a Group 4 historic rally car. The owner bought it as a daily driver for a couple of years – that was until the engine backfired and set the car on fire. Unusable, it was taken off the road and handed over to SDD for a Group 4 project with a BDG engine.
Prints are signed, titled and numbered in the white border, and professionally printed on 260gsm photo paper using archival-quality ink. Measurement is the longest side of the image. Prints are sent in a sturdy tube, with postage free worldwide.
